JANUARY 2026 - COURT CLOSURE

DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, MUNICIPAL COURT FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2026 HAS BEEN CANCELLED.  RESCHEDULE LETTERS WILL BE MAILED TO THE ADDRESS ON FILE.  IF YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS, PLEASE CONTACT THE COURT AT 912-368-8206.

January 2025 - COURT CLOSURE

DUE TO PENDING FREEZING TEMPERATURES THE HINESVILLE MUNICIPAL COURT WILL BE CLOSED TUESDAY, JANUARY 21ST THROUGH FRIDAY, JANUARY 24. THOSE SCHEDULED FOR COURT ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2025, WILL HAVE THEIR CASE RESCHEDULED AND BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL. PLEASE CONTACT THE CLERK'S OFFICE ON MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 2025, IF YOU HAVE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. 

December 2024

Municipal Court office will close at 11:30am on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 and will reopen at 08:00am on Thursday, December 26, 2024 in observance of the Christmas Holiday.  Office will also close at 11:30am on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 and reopen at 08:00am on Thursday, January 2, 2025 in observance of the New Year Holdiay.

June 2024

Governor Kemp was the first Georgia Governor to recognize Georgia Municipal Court Clerks in 2023 and 2024 by signing a Proclamation for Municipal Court Clerks Week. The Governor has designated June 10 to 14, 2024 as Municipal Court Clerks Week. Mayor Karl Riles followed suit on Thursday June 6, 2024 and signed a proclamation on the local level.

The citizens of Hinesville deserve to know how much time and effort is spent on document preparation, record maintenance, scheduling of arraignments, bench trials, answering the phones, taking payments, and protecting the public’s right to accountability and transparency. Municipal Courts have a great responsibility to uphold the publics trust in our local judiciary.

I want to take a moment to recognize and thank Municipal Court staff for their hard work and diligence to the judiciary for the City of Hinesville.
